BIOGRAPHY
From Army officer to functional neurologist.
Dr. Lars Landers is a board-certified functional neurologist (DC, DIBCN, DIBE) and the founder of Restorative Neuro. After earning his psychology degree at Worcester State University and serving as a U.S. Army captain and engineer, he completed advanced training in chiropractic neurology through the Carrick Institute — one of the most rigorous post-doctoral neurological training paths in the world.
Before founding Restorative Neuro in Wellesley, he established a neurorehabilitation clinic specifically serving U.S. military veterans with traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress. He continues that work today as Director of Integrated Wellness at Clear Path for Veterans New England, and serves as Director of The Brain Center in Southborough, MA.

Most patients arrive here after standard care has run out — after the MRI came back clear, after the medication didn’t fit, after the physical therapy plateaued. Functional neurology starts from a different question: not what is broken, but what is dysregulated. Network dysregulation is measurable. It is treatable. And it is what this clinic exists to address.
Every plan begins with a qEEG brain map — an objective, quantitative baseline. The protocol that follows is built from the data, not the diagnosis label. Progress is re-measured against that baseline on a defined schedule. If the data shows the protocol is not working, we say so — and the plan changes.
